John is a proven leader and manager with 24 years of senior and mid-level management and decision making experience with Logistics and service support elements. He retired from the U.S. Marine Corps at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel effective 1 May 2010, and started during April as a Project Manager supporting Lion-Vallen Industries and the Class II Consolidated Storage Program.
He possesses extensive project management experience in Command and Control (C2) Information Technology (IT) system acquisition and functional implementation. In addition, as a career logistician his background includes the Force Development Process, detailed long range force deployment planning and execution, and supply chain support experience at the strategic, operational and tactical levels. He has demonstrated management competence in communication, personnel, resource, and budget management in several command and staff positions for combat-ready units in the United States and deployed having commanded at the Battalion level in Iraq in 2005.
John earned his BS in Business Information Systems in 1986 at St. Cloud State University and MS in Information Technology Management in 1994 at the Naval Postgraduate School. He is a graduate of the Marine Corps Command and Staff College and numerous advanced Marine Corps and Joint Logistics courses.
