LION Corporate Citizenship

Good corporate citizenship is one of LION’s core values. This means that we support causes and organizations in the industries in which we conduct business and the communities where we are located.  We accomplish this through corporate giving as well as through participation in volunteer activities.

LION is proud to support key charitable organizations in our industry, such as:

  • The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) - Remembers and honors fallen heroes, provides support to families of fallen firefighters, and works to prevent firefighter fatalities.

  • The International Fire Relief Mission (IFRM) – A firefighter-run organization that provides gear, equipment and training to firefighters and first responders in developing countries around the world.  LION provides IFRM previously-used personal protective equipment and training as well as managing the distribution of this equipment.

  • Congressional Fire Service Institute - LION contributes time and resources to this non-partisan organization that educates and advocates on behalf of the fire service regarding the needs for critical funding and training needed by first responders.

  • Firefighter Cancer Support Network – Supports fire service members and families dealing with cancer.

  • Wounded Warrior Project – Supports and empowers wounded service members adjusting back to civilian life.

As a Dayton-based company, LION focuses much of its corporate giving on the local region.  This Includes:

  • United Way of Greater Dayton –LION’s primary corporate giving program.

  • Culture Works – LION Supports major arts organizations in the Dayton region through corporate giving to Culture Works.

  • LION Employee Support - LION provides time off for employees to volunteer with community and philanthropic organizations.  LION personnel serve on national and local boards and are involved in various local volunteer activities.
